The CPGR is a newly founded, world-class core technology centre funded by a grant from the Cape Biotech Trust (CBT) to provide state-of-the-art services and research capabilities in the high throughput genomics and proteomics sectors to the scientific community in South Africa. Apart from offering high-quality analytical services on a broad range of technological platforms, the CPGR pro-actively drives and supports joint projects with academia & industry with the aim to efficiently convert excellent scientific findings into sustainable commercial opportunities and to boost the biotech sector in Southern Africa
